The six Zambian gang member of suspected criminals arrested last week at the Kafue Roundabout for stealing from motor vehicles has appeared in court.
The suspects, all male, are facing charges of theft from a motor vehicle and are expected to enter a plea before Lusaka Magistrate Chrispin Hampungani.
Police revealed that during investigations, they recovered several stolen items, including a mobile phone, a digital camera, an electronic calculator, and various important documents, all of which were identified by their rightful owners.
The arrests follow a surge in car theft incidents, particularly at the Kafue Roundabout, where motorists have been frequently targeted.
